CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWEST FIREFIGHTERS

I have been a police cheerleader my whole life, and I am proud to have been endorsed by SPD since 2020.

After years of having to tell residents there was nothing we could do because of State Law, it was such a relief to finally gain some control over short term rentals.

As a business owner and Scottsdale City Councilwoman, I understand the intrinsic value good schools bring to our community, both in the foundations they provide to our neighborhoods and the educational experience they offer our students.

Thank you to the 43% of registered Scottsdale voters who took the time to vote in the recent election and congratulations to the winning candidates. Our final work study session prior to summer break was a detailed conversation regarding council rules and procedures, which were long overdue for an update.

I ran for city council to be a positive, forward-thinking voice for Scottsdale. We need councilmembers who will govern with facts and open minds.

There are millions of dollars in investment at stake, and 240,000 citizens who need us to identify and appoint the most qualified applicants with the professional disposition for the job.

We always need to balance the benefits of new projects with the needs of existing businesses. This is a project worthy of Scottsdale.

I had a frank conversation with a diverse group of successful local women who are making their own history.

We need a Downtown that is thriving, vibrant, and year-round. We do that by giving people opportunities for more activity and connectivity at the street level, in a place that is beautiful and shaded.

Women's issues are my passion. I had a great time at our Women’s History Month panel discussion, sharing with my fellow Councilors what influenced them, and how they are inspiring other women.

I am totally opposed to the idea of gerrymandering our city. Dividing us by zip code forces the creation of separate “communities of interest”. This scheme creates controversy and division where none exists, pitting neighbors against each other. We are not 3 Scottsdales, we are one Scottsdale.

Voting in fear is not leadership, and we were elected to lead.
